Hemp is a renewable and sustainable product of nature that can grow in some very harsh environment. 1 acre of hemp produces as much paper products as 4 acres of timber. It can be used to make clothing which would reduce the use of synthetics, produce fuels for vehicles which has been proven to be cleaner burning fuel, which means better quality air for me to breathe. This will also reduces our dependency on foreign oil. The seeds produce are excellent source of food containing many different vitamins and minerals. Hemp is also a natural source that can stop soil erosion and remove the chemicals that are polluting our lands.
It's amazing how 1 plant can do so much good for our world.
Our founding fathers knew the importance of a renewable natural fiber and I suspect that they believed it could provide many more uses to the people than what they knew about at that time. Yet, we are being imposed upon by a law that denies people the option see it's full potential as a possible, profitable solution to our growing global problems.
The Department of Agriculture use to dedicate a chapter in the yearly digest of different important farm products and their production including hemp.
Marijuana was listed in the Pharmacology Handbook as a medicine until the 1940's.
