Just because we don't agree doesn't mean either one of us is right or wrong.
If we try your method first and it fails, then it's time to try a different method.

Neglect or ADHD

Today was the first time I've posted in a while. I shouldn't make that a habit, it happens when I can't find something that sets me off on a rant.

Of course, I've been busy working a lot lately. I can't say that I'm getting rich or making a lot of money, but I'm fortunate to be able to stay busy. So that cuts into my rants a bit.

A reply to Moms for Marijuana's status on Facebook

First, the views are my own and are in no way meant to be considered those of others.
Second, I used spell check where needed on the original post.
These statements were copied, verbatim, from a conversation that one of our chapter leaders had with a family member. How would you educate your family if you were in this situation? Help us analyze and dissect these statements to form a well educated (and polite!) response. Please post your thoughts as a comment. Thank you!! ♥

If you want any progress with the research of any possible benefits of marijuana, maybe you should focus less on smoking your next bowl and using the oil version to "cure" your issues. You are fighting against millions of lazy ass pot heads unwilling to do much more than watch tv and get stoned, wanting to collect their disability check or unemployment check. I cant wait for drug tests before handout checks are issued. Hopefully that would stop the drain on society. There are plenty of legitimate people that deserve to claim disability, but many more just taking advantage of the system and expecting more handouts.

If you get cancer while smoking pot, doesn't that go against everything they say pot supposedly does for you? It obviously doesn't kill cancer then, otherwise he wouldn't have acquired cancer to begin with. It was surgical removal and chemotherapy that killed his cancer. Where was the magic drug saving him then? Is it only helpful in the oil form? Then it should not be legalized period. If smoking it has no benefit on cancer treatment, which obviously it doesn't, then it should remain as it is. Yes, parents that do illegal drugs should have cps knocking on their door. They are unfit to make proper decisions for themselves let alone children. Everyone else can live within the means of the law, a headache doesn't make anyone else special. There are plenty of other means of pain remediation that work better, so why put your kids at risk just to get high. That is what it ultimately comes down to. So go smoke your bowl and forget all this ever happened.

Where to begin:
Not all consumers of cannabis are lazy ass pot heads and I'm offended by that statement, from personal experience I have discovered that certain strains do in fact motivate me and help me focus on the task I'm trying to complete.
Florida has tried to test unemployment and welfare recipients, only to discover that a measly 2% failed the tests for illicit drug use. I wonder how many would fail a breathalyzer test for alcohol? I wonder how many are legally taking prescription drugs and abusing them or are addicted to them?

Now then let's be realistic and put the issue into the proper perspective:
All drugs have side effects, every person alive can and usually does react differently to the drugs they consume.
I'm a firm believer that cannabis is the right choice of medication for some of the people, just as prescription drugs have proven to be the wrong choice of medication for some of the people.
As for people getting high and using the excuse of medication, I don't doubt for one bit that there are those who do just that.
But then again how many times does an alcoholic have to lose everything before they can be honest with themselves and admit that they have been lying to themselves?
Of course, alcohol has been successful in proving to be the wrong source of recreation for so many people in this country.

So who should we rely on to have the final say as to what is right or wrong for us to consume? Would you rather it be someone who doesn't know you well enough on a personal level or would you prefer to discover what your body will consider as acceptable without fear of being labeled a criminal, without being fined or possibly incarcerated for learning to be responsible for what you consume.
