A Year of Energy Disaster - Grow It In The Sun
I've looked at the damages of the new and improved energy sources. And I have to say that our ancestors were a whole lot smarter than people want to give them credit for.
Our ancestors used nature to provide power, animals to pull wagons for hauling our products, pulling plows for a less laboring farm work, and to carry our lazy butts when we were tired of walking. Animals were even used to move water to and for the people.
We learned to use wind to move water for farming, and it moved ships across the oceans of our world. We have discovered ways to harness the wind to produce the electricity for the products of convenience in our homes.
Solar power has also gain a position of being a reliable source of energy, we can trap it to heat water and homes, produce power for homes.
With the available options we still act like we need to build other solutions, some of them I blame on what I call the medieval mindset of the greedy. This mindset is in my opinion is helping to destroy the world I fondly claim to be home.
Now, I'm not saying it's wrong to explore other possibilities, I'm saying it's wrong to claim these possibilities as the right solution. We can't keep overlooking the damages and deaths associated with the present suppliers of energy.
We can manufacture fuel for our vehicles from plant matter, these same plant matter can also produce a more durable and environmentally friendly plastics. Both of these are produced with crude oil. This crude oil is used in a wide variety of products we consume. In other words we have most of our eggs in one basket, and some of them are cracked.
