Yes, this war on drugs is killing a lot of people. Might want to take a good look at the success of Portugal's policy.
I have to question why the only people dying from what I call a war on marijuana, are sometimes innocent bystanders? But, for the most part it's drug cartel members, or law enforcement officers and politicians.

This is an interesting read that confirmed a past theory I had.
First, a little a history. My first real job was sacking groceries at an Air Force base commissary. I remember the glass jars the food was packaged in, also we used paper bags for carrying groceries in. I mention these 2 items specifically, the modern miracle plastics we were informed of as being a more environmentally friendly product isn't. These plastics have not only replaced perfectly environmentally friendly products but both were biodegradable to some degree, they succeeded in proving not all ideas or opinions work as expected. To be perfectly honest I thought the idea behind plastics back then was a big scam and now I am sure it is and was one of the worst ideas we ever accepted.
We have (as the so called superior intelligent) pretty much built 2 floating islands of trash on both sides of our country. And no I am not saying our country did this in some ways every country had a hand in it, but according to a study I read a few years back (GUESS WHAT) we Americans are (not surprisingly) the most wasteful nations in the world. We produce more trash than any others, and I'm not quite sure but I thought it said we produced more trash than the other countries combined. In some different articles I have read through the years, I have noticed that most of the other countries citizens tend to practice the use of common sense. In other words if it's not practical it's not necessary, so why bother with it?
So we look around at our trash try to figure out how to stop it, and clean it up. As I said we claim to be the superior intelligent beings, as an industrialized nation we try to thrive on the possible advances in science and technology. Which is not a bad thing, but let's not forget the past or our accomplishments. If new and improved doesn't work then we need to step back in time to tried and true methods that did work.
Paper or Plastic? I have to say I prefer paper bags, it is a more biodegradable product by far, making it a more environmentally friendly product. Plus they are a lot more sturdier than those damn plastics bags I keep acquiring. I can put 3-4 wally world bags of products in 1 paper bag and take up less room in my truck.
Plastic bags have succeeded in proving that they are not as recyclable as we were imposed upon to believe.They are a complete inconvenience and waste of precious resources.
Take good old Henry Ford, you know the father of Ford Motors, he used a hemp based plastic in the manufacturing of his cars, he also encourage the continued existence of hemp as a viable source of plastics. I have also read the first cars were optionally run on petroleum based fuel or an ethanol based fuel, ethanol fuel has been proven to burn cleaner, gets good fuel mileage and possibly extend the life of your cars motor. I have wondered what has happened to these plastics Henry used in his cars, I can imagine some are still in original mint condition, while others in the test of time has degraded to dust with no real harm to nature as they should.
So we know industrial hemp can be used to make quite a variety of products. Such as the paper we use in our everyday lives, it can if taken care of properly with stand the process of time, but at the same time is equally and easily a biodegradable, environmentally friendly paper. An additional plus of this is that hemp is easily renewable. 1 acre of hemp can produce as much paper products as 4 acres of timber while using less chemicals in the processing. With this knowledge available to us why are we still destroying our forest for paper and other products that can be replaced by hemp.
We have farmers as you know who are losing their farms, what if farmers were to raise hemp and be able to convert it for fuel in his farming equipment, this would save them no telling how much money on foreign petroleum products. They can also raise enough to possibly supply different industries that can revitalize our economy. There is also the idea that hemp itself can as it grows cleanse the soil for the next crop to be planted, it's suspected of being able to draw the chemical out of the ground without needing any other source of nutrients.
Look at the building industry, it is diminishing due to a lack of affordable products to use, timber industry has been hurt the most by this. We have a high demand for it but limited amounts available. The tree planting projects by different groups aren't keeping up with the demand, so to me it's only logical to remember our founding fathers and beyond our nation's beginnings.
OK on to more thoughts, hemp can produce some of the finest cloth, and the strongest ropes which is not affected by the salts in the oceans, these products like paper with proper care can last a long time, and at the same time they also accomplish being biodegradable with out endangering the environment.
We know all this and yet I can't help but feel like I'm being imposed on and intimidated to ignore our history as a race of beings and a nation. Are you afraid to step back in time to accept the past as it was? Are you ashamed to admit that not all advances are actually advances? A little news flash there's nothing to be ashamed of it's called life. LIFE = TRIAL AND ERRORS discovering what works for you as an individual but at the same time having enough respect for others to admit it maybe the wrong path.

WHy I don't agree with or approve of the advance of modern medical science.
It's gotten to be an everyday thing to see or hear something like this concerning some item we consume. If it's not a food recall of some kind, it's a medication that has been approved as safe only to discover it's not as safe we are imposed upon to believe it is.
After all I am not a machine, I am a living breathing being. And when I die I would prefer to as natural and organic as the day I was born, with as little or no additives and /or preservatives as possible.

This has some interesting amount of history which I consider a very educational reading requirement.
I have an idea that if industrial cannabis is relegalized that a lot of economical and environmental issuses can be solved.
Years ago Arkansas passed a bill to allow for the legalized study of industrial cannabis (HEMP). Some have suspected it would make a good rotation crop for farmers, which I tend to agree with. But, I also believe it can be a renewable and viable source of fuel for the farmers, bringing them to a more self sufficiency. Giving them the advantage of being able to go green and getting additional tax breaks for organic farming.
The idea is to raise a crop, harvest and convert to an ethonal fuel for use in the farm equipment, I have also read that it is suspected of being able to clean the soil of pollutants we as so called superior beings have posioned our world with.
This has some interesting amount of history which I consider a very educational reading requirement.

1) Who has the right to take responsibility of deciding what is acceptable to learn?
2) Can our government deny people the ability to learn?
3) Should people be required to get a permit to learn about something even though others don't approve of it?
4) Can the government morally treat people like criminals for trying to disprove suspected rumors?

This is a perfect example why the drug laws should be re-evaluated, a lack of a proper investigation in this case by the police. We have over zealous officers, followed by an elder woman's death at the hands of law enforcement, then an attempted cover-up, now we have three officers lives ruined unnecessarily.
All because of a law that defines a person citizenship based on what they possess, not by how they treat their fellow citizens.

This is amazing, actually it didn't go up in smoke it's kind of did a disappearing act while in transit. Should recommend this for a Vegas magicians act.
My favorite part of this is:

Defining a respectable and responsible citizen.
I have decided to question the concept of how to define a person's ability to be recognized as a respectable and responsible citizen in the United States of America.
Who has the right to define these ideas?
Can someone take it upon themselves to impose and intimidate others to accept their opinions as the right opinion?
Should a respectable and responsible citizen be defined by what they possesses to consume in the privacy of their own home, or by how they treat their fellow citizens?
Do we not have as individuals the right to decide what we will accept, tolerate and trust when it comes to the advances and miracles of modern science and technology?
A perfect example of this concept would be the Amish and Mennonites, they have refrained from accepting the advances in both modern industrial technology and modern medical sciences in their life style. These 2 groups are respected for their beliefs and accepted as responsible citizens.
Yet if you don't belong to either of these 2 groups you are (whether you like or not) required to accept the advances of modern science and technology as the right choice and only choice.

This is an interesting link I found, this is not new just a little more information than I have previously read.
So many questions, yet life is too short to find all the answers.
I have recently became an ordained minister through Universal Life Church.
In my past post I mentioned questioning others belief in God, as well as my own faith. So I would like explore and possibly find a way to define these ideas of Christianity, this is more for my own peace of mind.
We are in some ways fortunate to have the ability to explore the concept of our existence, as every faith is different some have been called extremist or radical for lack of better words. But does that mean they are wrong in their faith, or that I am wrong in my faith?
Can anyone claim the right to judge people, simply because they may not agree with others faith in God?
Those who truly believe will have to question their own ideas, some state God gave the people everything they need to continue to exist on this planet. This would include all the plants and animals(to be used as food, medicine, and shelter), the ability to think as individuals, the ability to discover and learn.
Is it impossible to accept that everyone has different beliefs, and therefore entitled to decide what is right for them and to what extent we will accept the things we have been given?
Are Christians people who accept others for their beliefs even when they disagree on their beliefs?
Does being a Christian require everyone to believe in the same concept?
Can any one person or government take it upon themselves to claim whose religious beliefs is right or wrong?
If so, isn't that religious persecution? Possibly religious discrimination?

Just check out US Patent 6630507 titled “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants” which is assigned to The United States of America, as represented by the Department of Health and Human Services.
The patent claims that -“Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and HIV dementia.”
The patent was obtained in October of 2003.

I have this idea legalize and regulate let's do some math.
In the state of Arkansas on average it cost $22,000 a year to incarcerate criminals. This goes up as they age due to medical problems.
This report mentioned a shipment of 3,800 pounds found in a truckload of produce.
3,800 pounds @ 16 ounces = 60,800 ounces
60,800 ounces if taxed @ $50.00 each = $3,040,000 of revenue
As I said legalize and regulate, this will solve quite a few different problems:
1) It will quit wasting taxpayers money on housing non-violent people as criminals.
2) Will add revenue to the states coffers.
3) It will decrease the amount of violence in Mexico. Making it safer for people to go on a vacation out of the country.
4) It will give some people faith in our government. (This present program makes me wonder if our leaders are in the pockets of the drug cartels somehow)
5) It will lower the prices of the so called illicit drugs.
Now by legalizing and regulating the market we can treat it like the produce that the cartels are stashing their supply in. Put a tariff on it, if the cartels don't pay the tariff confiscate and auction it to approved dispensaries, this will give additional revenue to the government not once but twice.
For 40 years we have lived with the control substance act our leaders are of the opinion that this is the right course of action, this opinion has continued to be a proven failure we have tried it their way now it's time they listen to the people and try a different way.

Disagreeing on Opinions.
I know that there are people who will disagree with some of my opinions, just as I may not agree with theirs. The great thing about that is, just because we don't agree doesn't mean either one of us is right or wrong.
So if your opinion proves to be right that's great let's keep on going with it. But if it should prove to fail don't keep trying to force me to accept your opinion as right. This is not only undignified but proves to me you have no intention of treating me with any respect.
So if you want me to treat you with respect, then you should also be willing to accept that no one person is perfect including yourself. We all make mistakes that's part of life. It is up to the individuals ability to live with themselves, and to decide for themselves what is right or wrong.
And if you can't accept responsibility for your actions or decisions then you need not be acting or deciding.

Solving the overcrowded prison problem.
We are presently hearing about the overcrowded prison system, a vast majority of the inmates are non violent offenders, in there for non-payment of child support, possession of controlled substances, and a variety of other personal mistakes.
First, in Arkansas it is estimated that we spend $22,000+ a year per inmate to incarcerate them, that figure goes up as they age due to medical problems. The problem I see with this is there are people who are working for minimum wages 40 hours a week and they don't make what we spend on criminals in a year. So who is actually getting punished?
Saline county had a dead beat dad round up recently, now if these people are sentenced to serve time not only do we pay for their incarceration, but also pay their child support. Instead of incarceration put them to work in child services part time 10-20 hours a week and use the money they would earn as their child support payment. If we are going to help support these people we should get something in return.
As for those incarcerated for the possession of a so called controlled substances change the law to legalize those drugs, then tax those products, expunge their records, and redirect the energy of the D.E.A. to inspect the products and assist with those who have abused those products and wanting help to get away from the addictions that is controlling their life. After all it has been proven that in order to help some one with problem they have to want the help. This is simply not a crime, it is and always will be a health and safety issue. Just as alcoholism is an addiction and not a disease.
Those who are found guilty of non-violent breaking and entering related to theft, put monitor anklets on them to keep track of them, set them up with some employment with the state for manual labor (such as highway clean-up, taking care of the city parks, and other such needed work) a percentage of their salary held back for court cost, probation fees, and victim restitution.

After writing this I noticed I got off subject a bit, but decided to keep everything in it.
Thanks to Mr. Coleman's statement concerning his belief that he is seeking employment from the people to represent the people's best interest and wishes, not what he believes the people needs. I have decided to follow his blogs and listen to his ideas. What caught my attention was his stance on stem cell research and how he defined it.
I believe stem cell research is a violation of the laws of God and nature, just as I think we are being intimidated to accept the advances in pharmacology as a traditional form of medication also. Personally I consider it a law that requires the people to pay to participate in chemical testing for profit. Now I do understand some peoples reasoning for this type of research and the desire to learn more about the process of life and death. But, why should my tax dollars pay for it. What gives our elected officials the right to impose upon me to consider their opinion as acceptable or right.
I would also like to know if he is willing to use the knowledge and information available to change the controlled substance act, instead of ignoring the committees and reports like our present elected officials are doing. The available statistics can and do support this policy needs to be changed. We have lived with this policy for 40 years, spent billions of dollars on prohibition that has failed, we tried it the governments way now it's time for the government to try it with the peoples way.
For those who read this you already know my stance on this. And that is if our government officials are so adamantly sure they are right as to what we as citizens can or cannot possess to consume in our own homes, what we will or will not accept, tolerate, and trust to be respectable and responsible citizens, than they owe it to the people to take responsibility for any and all of the damages and deaths associated with the products they claim to be the only choice and the right choice for everyone.
I am actually hoping that this gentleman has an open mind to see the damages that our government has caused by the way they have defined the peoples ability to be recognized as respectable and responsible citizens.

Whatever happened to Craftsmenship and Tradesmen?
Go back in history and look at peoples way of life, sure I imagine it was tough. What, no modern conveniences? We had craftsmen, you know people who took pride in their work, who specialized in a few related areas. There are some still out there, but not as many as I think should be. Independences in knowing that you could support your family comfortably, without a lot of unnecessary B.S.
Has big business hurt this way of life? Is the corporations forcing them into extinction? Does having corporate sponsers make you any better than everyone else in your community? I may be wrong, but wasn't there some sort of law to stop corporations from controlling a market. Didn't our founding fathers beleive these corporations would be the downfall of free enterprise? Isn't that the reason corporations were desovled after 20 or 30 years back at the beginning of our nation's fight for independence?

Changes for DSC
Last week I decided to make some changes to DSC (Diversified SubContracting) this is an independent contracting service I have been trying to get going for 10 years. It has had it's up and downs in the past and I hope this will bring it around.One of the reasons is I need a change in policy.
First thing I did was get an email for DSC with gmail (installs.by.dsc@gmail.com), google has a sites for devoloping an online presence with a free website (http://sites.google.com/site/dscinstalls/.) There is also google documents for storing documents and templates for modifying documents. I have modified some templates for what I hope will work out fine. I still have some fine print to add. Still need to set up some policies (possible mileage, and payments).
I am trying to keep this as cost effective as possible. Last year about this time I was having issues with some Windows XP software and viruses on 3 computers, so took a leap over to open source Linux software. I have to say it does take getting use to, but I'm glad I did for the most part Linux has proven to be far more stable than I had expected, plus it's down loadable, and upgradeable. If windows has a program, Linux has one just as good if not better. There are even live cd versions you don't need a hard drive to use it.
I was also able to find and refurbish some computers, I loaded them with Linux and gave them away, I may keep them and try to sell some while I'm still learning Linux, but that brings another dilema where am I going to get the room to do the work for that idea? I am in serious need for a storage area and workspace.

Now if this is the estimated value of everything seized, how many tax dollars were spent on this 1 year investigation? Can that be considered a justifiable expense? Not to mention the additional expense of processing and court cost the taxpayers will have to cover. Then if found guilty and sentenced to serve time in a correctional facility at what is estimated to cost $20,000+ a year for us to pay.
I have to ask, how does it make sense to spend more a year housing people for marijuana charges than people working for minimum wages make in a year?

Yes, I agree with legalizing marijuana.
After all our government spent no telling how many millions of dollars of taxpayers money on the what is commonly known as the Schafer Report in the 70’s. It recommended decriminalizing for personal adult use, it basically states that the marijuana laws were passed under false pretenses.
Our elected officials state that the marijuana laws were passed because they have a moral responsibility to protect the people from their selves. Well, in my opinion that moral responsibility also includes having the morals to accept responsibility for the damages and deaths that result from the products they claim to be our only legal options.
Every time a drunk driver is charged and found guilty of negligent homicide our elected officials are just as guilty, every time someone is mentally or physically abused by another who is under the influence of alcohol our government is just as responsible. I may only have a high school diploma, but it doesn’t take a whole lot of common sense or intelligence to see alcohol is not the right choice for a lot of people, yet it’s the only legal choice for all the people.

I had to read this twice before I decided to post it here.
Friday’s “Should Marijuana Be Made Legal?” Debate | Right Wing News
As someone who wishes to see the legalization of cannabis, and having read this article twice I agree with his perspective of it. I believe that to be a responsible consumer of this herb that has been here since the beginning of time we have to treat those who don't agree to this idea with some degree of respect for their individual opinion.
But, I'm also asking those whose opinion differs with mine if they are willing to take responsibility for any of damages or deaths that result from using what they think I should accept as the only choice and the right choice? (This is because my dad kept telling me just because your friends want to jump off a cliff doesn't mean you have to or that it's right.)
There is a time and place for everything, and walking down MainStreet U.S.A. is not the place for it, just like it's not the place to drink alcohol. This is of course is where I do disagree with some others who want to see it legalized. The place to consume these are on your own property or state licensed facility approved for such behavior. I used to drink and drink quite a lot, when I was drunk I did impose on other people, after I quit drinking and had a few encounters with drunks, I realized how inconsiderate and rude I had been to those people. I apologize now for being an idiot.

This is of course is where I do disagree with some others who want to see it legalized. The place to consume these are on your own property or state licensed facility approved for such behavior. I used to drink and drink quite a lot, when I was drunk I did impose on other people, after I quit drinking and had a few encounters with drunks, I realized how inconsiderate and rude I had been to those people. I apologize now for being an idiot.
I have this problem with the controlled substance act, it tries to force the opinion that manufactured chemicals are the right choice for everyone, while completely ignoring the statistics that prove otherwise.

How much money does it cost the taxpayers for an 18 month long investigation? I'm willing to bet it cost us more than they seized. Considering they only seized 15 vehicles and $190,000 and stopped 295 lbs. of cannabis from getting on the streets. There was no mention of weapons or any type of violent acts from the so called suspects.
This is a rough guess or estimate:
Seized items
15 vehicles @ let's say $20,000 each + the $190,000 in cash = $490,000
Just say 20 officers @ $25,000 a year = $500,000 + $250,000 = $750,000
8 suspects if sentenced and served 5 years
@ $30,000 each a year for incarceration = $1,200,000
@ $20,000 each a year for incarceration = $800,000
No matter how you look at it this investigate and sentencing will cost the taxpayers 3 times what was seized. Yet if legalized and taxed @ $50.00 an ounce would generate $236,000 in revenue for the state. If you figure that as state wide every week that total = $12,980,000 a year for the state to spend.

Invoking my right to free speech.
I may be wrong, but I am fairly certain that our constitution guarantees our right to free speech to voice our beliefs and opinions, it protects us from being persecuted for those beliefs and opinions.
AND I believe that since my tax dollars help pay the salaries of elected officials who seem to be so adamantly sure they are right in their opinion as to what we the citizens can possess to consume, or will accept, tolerate and trust in order to be considered as respectable and responsible citizens in the U.S.A. then the least they can do is be courteous enough to accept responsibility for the damages and deaths associated with the products they claim to be our only options.
BUT history being the great educational tool that it is can prove our elected officials lack the morals to accept that responsibility.They have over the period of 40 years wasted billions of dollars on a various committees and hearings proving they don't have morals to accept responsibility for their actions and decisions in their personal life. There have been instances where our government has received information and reports only to discard or ignore them. I don't know whether it was because they didn't want to believe the information or reports, or if it was not what they wanted to hear. In my opinion either way it proves to me our elected officials have no intention of treating the citizens with the dignity and respect they deserve.

The blogs I follow.
There are some who may question the type of blogs I follow, sorry I can't actually give an answer except that I like them. Some are for information and to help define my beliefs and concept of morals. Those that are LEO is because even though they may not agree with me on the contraversial cannabis laws they are very good people at heart who deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
I truly enjoy reading the Law blogs it never ceases to amaze me some of the idiots out there they contend with. If you got caught don't try to bs your way out accept it and go one. They didn't make the law they just enforce them, and it has been my experience that a majority of them will cut you some degree of slack if you are courteous and polite.

How I became an Independent Contractor.
First it will be 30 years since I graduated from high school, since then I have had a variety of employment. All of it educational in it's own different way. One even informed me that I had a defective attitude, I am guessing that was why my dad told me I wouldn't live to see my 18th birthday. Yet here I am turning 48 years old next month.
One of the best jobs I had was as a deckhand for a barge company on the Mississippi River, I had been out of school a whole year when I landed that gig, for 4 1/2 years I worked that 30 days on 30 days off. I was sure I was invincible and could never get hurt doing that (take my word you are not as invincible as you may think you are). After the first year I was more on than off, so when I quit I didn't have to actually work for 2+ years with a steady check coming every 2 weeks. During those on times, I would on occasion work with people who tended to be wound to tight (you know some one like that more dangerous to you than they are to themselves simply because they were in a hurry and didn't pay attention to what they were told). Those instances I received a rope burn from my wrist to my elbow, being knocked in a barge only to land flat on your back on a steel deck, it takes about 10-15 minutes to grab your breath back after that kind of fall, or a bruise up my spine from my tail bone to my shoulder blades 6 inches wide. Unfortunately this was the start of an ongoing pre-existing back problem that would eventually haunt me later on.
Now that was an excellent job for some one like me, single no one to worry about and no sweety to come home to, of course I was interested in all those pretty young ladies, but I was more interested in staying as stoned on herb as I possibly could, with an occasional alcoholic binge. All I can say is if they send you to New Orleans during Mardi Gras don't expect to be getting on a boat, that was also when I discovered alcohol was not the right option for me.
Now even though I didn't have to work for the next 2+ years, I had the opportunity to meet and eventually marry as I call her my lusty bride, I don't think either of us married for love. I didn't take any time off to enjoy what I had made and went straight to work at a factory making of all things cardboard boxes. This required a lot of heavy lifting and a very good grip. Between both my incomes I was able to payoff my lusty brides multiple school loans totaling $9,000+ in 2 years, upon paying those jewels off we went our separate ways. One year later I was enrolled in a truck driver school.
Truck driving is not as easy as you might think, long hours behind the wheel, driving not only your truck but every car around you, there have been a lot of improvements in that industry when I started, roads were smoother than they were in the 50's, trucks were smoother also. But they were still rough on a existing back problem and slowly making it worse. There is one great thing in my life that came from this experience and that was meeting my present wife, we will be married 17 years this April, and together for 18 years this past December. While driving OTR (over the road) I have unloaded trucks, pulled flat bed where I had to use some fairly heavy ass tarps to cover the freight.
After that gig I did underground utility work, lots of digging, pulling pipe and wire, and driving drunk machine operators to job sites. This was where I discovered that the only way I could continue to try to have and support my soon to be family, I would have to contract out due to the pre-existing back injuries. Company insurance policies tend to not insure people with pre-existing back injuries or problems. I have contracted out since then.
In all these years I have only been out of work due to back problems twice not including the initial injury, once when driving OTR (the medication I was prescribed kept me asleep for almost a month, the other side affect included weird dreams,this is something I don't ever want to experience again) and the most recent was 5 years ago (I received a shot at the base of my spine and was told to rest as much as possible, I received no other medication and was able to return to work in less than 2 weeks). These two instances of the same pain but different ideas as to how deal with it, is also why I am firmly against the idea of daily medications (but that will probably be explained later).
Besides having done the above occupations, I have drove concrete (redi-mix) trucks, set-up and delivery of double wides, home repair and remodeling, and then 5 years as independent contractor for Dish Network and Directv.

Driving idiots and why I slowed down to smell the roses.
We have had a recent mini blizzard by Arkansas standards, it started Sunday and was on and off until sometime early this morning. Most people in the natural state don't know how to drive on snow and ice, they tend to forget their science classes and I have no clue as to where their common sense went. Now I do try to be a pretty safe driver, but I do have to question others driving habits. Like seeing someone driving down the road and then pulling out in front of them only to turn just 25 ft down the road. I have at times when I park my truck walked around it to figure out if there is some sign that tells people to pull out in front of it. Why the hell can't they wait? Instead of wearing out my brakes like that, I'm sorry but wherever they were going will most likely still be there when they get there.
I also wonder why vehicles are equipped with turn signals, you very rarely see anyone using them. I spent 7+ years driving over the road cross country dragging a 45 ft. to 53 ft. trailer around. Most drivers who use turn signals are truck drivers. So when I see ads on the television for lawyers who go after truck drivers, I would like to dare them to get out there and spend a week on the road with a trucker. Go see the world from 8 ft. off the ground with up to 50,000 lbs of freight right behind them. They will change tunes pretty quick. They may have 18 wheels, but they damn sure don't have 18 brakes on those rigs.
As for rubberneckers at accidents and wrecks, please unless you want to end up as a victim don't stop to look, slow down get a quick glance at some one else's misfortune, then go on down the road. Unless, of course you have some kind of medical experience and can stop some bleeding. Like it or not you are not helping things progress along, especially if an ambulance or a rescue team is rolling up the road behind you.
Another pet peeve of mine is when I see some one has been pulled over by the law, try to pullover to where the officer will not get injured or has to stand in the road to do his job. That's disrespectful and plain rude, my tax dollars help pay their salaries and we as citizens have invested a lot of money in these people so that they can protect us when we need it. (I also believe some of the laws are a complete waste of taxpayers money, but I don't hold a grudge against the police for that, it's actually not their fault.) Now if you are also driving down a highway and you see some one has been pulled over don't lolly gag around in the left lane, keep moving your ass along, because some one else might be wanting over so as to not hit the officer or his vehicle.
And finally if your drivers license is suspended don't drive down an exist ramp at 65mph in the fog and rear end my truck, especially when we are in a 55mph zone. And don't be wearing your damn pajamas either. Because if you are in such a hurry you should have got up and got going earlier, so you wouldn't start ruining my day off at 7:am.
It's time to look around and make some comparisons. There are to many damages and deaths associated with getting in a hurry, not just on the roads but everywhere. We are living in a nation of quick fixes where everything is disposable, and we are quickly pushing ourselves into extinction.

Marijuana and Death
I have been reading a variety of different articles lately in regards to marijuana related deaths, so far I have been unable to find any reports of someone overdosing or dying from consuming marijuana. I have on the other hand read about the drug cartels violently attacking each other and our own citizens (AKA LEO) who are actively participating in the war on drugs. Now, it seems to me the only ones dying from marijuana is those fighting to control an illicit market and those who trying to prohibit people from using marijuana. I shouldn't have to remind anyone of the bystanders who are caught in the crossfire. There are also a very few unfortunate people that have died who were denied organ transplants for using this herbal medication that worked better for them than the so called traditional medicines. (I am still trying to figure out how man-made chemicals became known as traditional medicines, I mean there is no tradition to it. It's not like it's been around for 10,000 years, so how does it become known as a tradition?) The only thing traditional in life is trial and error.
So, here we are with our government spending billions of dollars of taxpayer money every year in the war on drugs. (some refer to as a war on the citizens of the U.S.A.) All that money spent and what do we have to show for it? The unnecessary deaths of law enforcement officers who could be somebody's family, friend or neighbor. There is no way to truly know what percentage of marijuana they have successfully stopped from getting on the streets, but if I was to guess (I have been known to be wrong) I would say at the most 25%. If what I have read is even remotely close to being true not only has marijuana prohibition been a complete failure, it has cost us too much just in the lives lost. And I'm not only talking about those fighting this battle, I am also taking in consideration the number of lives that may have never been lost for their use of our government approved products.
Just how many alcohol related deaths or the alcohol related vehicular deaths may have been avoided? How many alcohol related domestic abuse cases could have been avoided? How many families were destroyed because of alcohol addiction that could have been saved if people were given an option to use marijuana? After all it has been statistically proven a safer and less dangerous substance.

Hemp Renewable and Sustainable
Hemp is a renewable and sustainable product of nature that can grow in some very harsh environment. 1 acre of hemp produces as much paper products as 4 acres of timber. It can be used to make clothing which would reduce the use of synthetics, produce fuels for vehicles which has been proven to be cleaner burning fuel, which means better quality air for me to breathe. This will also reduces our dependency on foreign oil. The seeds produce are excellent source of food containing many different vitamins and minerals. Hemp is also a natural source that can stop soil erosion and remove the chemicals that are polluting our lands.
It's amazing how 1 plant can do so much good for our world.
Our founding fathers knew the importance of a renewable natural fiber and I suspect that they believed it could provide many more uses to the people than what they knew about at that time. Yet, we are being imposed upon by a law that denies people the option see it's full potential as a possible, profitable solution to our growing global problems.

Defining a Disillusioned Baptist
I consider myself to be a Disillusioned Baptist(some may call me AGNOSTIC), this is partially due to what seems to be a lack of trust for the leaders in different religious ideologies. I image at one time years ago I may have truly believed in God, but then early in my life I started questioning if people really do believe or is it a crutch to lean on when they lack the ability to accept responsibility for ones own actions and decisions.
Ok, so if I remember Genesis, God create heaven and earth, provided us with a variety of plants and animals for our continuing existence. Some also claim he gave us intelligence you know the ability to learn and discover unlimited potential with an open mind.
If so many people in the religious communities believe God created all life on this earth, then turn around and condemn someone for the use of a herb (cannabis sativa) as they see fit which they claim their God created. In my opinion that is both a biblical and mortal sin upon humanity. Isn't it a sin to intentionally forget or ignore the past and what we have learned from it? The very reason I question others faith in God.
If he does exist, what is he thinking about when he looks upon this world and the conditions we have it in? We are here as guardians of this planet and the life on it. It looking like we are doing a piss poor job at that. If you don't believe that, step back, take a look around (not at the people) but the world as a whole and how it is reacting to people. We are having quite a bit of a changes in the weather and global shifting, animals that normally shun human contact moving back to the areas where we have set up house. God or Nature is trying to inform us to that we need to change the way we treat our home world and how we co-exist with the other living species.
We make the claim of being the superior intelligence on this planet. We have the ability to think, our minds are the most valuable commodity to this world we call home. So when do we start using them? After it's to late, sorry I'm not going to fly with that thought.
People in general understand the concept of everything in moderation, we consistently prove to ourselves not to practice the idea. We have in some way corrupted everything we've touched. Since the beginning of time people have made leaps and bounds to get us to where we are today. Yet, at what price?
We have pretty much abused or in the process of abusing our own existence.
As people have progressed we have forgotten as caretakers we have an obligation to protect this world from it's own worst enemy (people in general). Our world is not disposable and we need to quit throwing it away.
We have discovered that if one species is forced into extinction, it has a domino effect that tumbles through and affects every species life. And yet we continue the practice of negligent extinction whether we want to see it or not. So that being the case every living thing is essentially intertwined with each other and it doesn't matter one bit if it's right next to you or on the other side of the world.
I personally don't care whether people claim to believe in God and creation, or in natural evolution, primarily because no matter how we got here I believe we each and every species (plants and animals) rely on the other to continue living. A give and take symbiotic concept. In order to take something from this world we must be able to give something back so that all species can benefit. We have cosmetically and physically altered our world with no real regard to other species we share this world with.
The continued destruction of forest which house thousands of life forms, we are wasting the valuable resources that eventually can't be replaced, unless some changes are made quickly. How much damage are we doing to this world pumping oil from the ground on one side and relocating it to the other side of the world. It's like a set of scales unless we can come up with a replacement that is equal in weight and volume then there can be no true balance. (AND AGAIN THIS PROCESS CAN BE REPLACED WITH INDUSTRIAL HEMP AS AN ETHANOL FUEL SOURCE)
Ok, so if I remember Genesis, God create heaven and earth, provided us with a variety of plants and animals for our continuing existence. Some also claim he gave us intelligence you know the ability to learn and discover unlimited potential with an open mind.
If so many people in the religious communities believe God created all life on this earth, then turn around and condemn someone for the use of a herb (cannabis sativa) as they see fit which they claim their God created. In my opinion that is both a biblical and mortal sin upon humanity. Isn't it a sin to intentionally forget or ignore the past and what we have learned from it? The very reason I question others faith in God.
If he does exist, what is he thinking about when he looks upon this world and the conditions we have it in? We are here as guardians of this planet and the life on it. It looking like we are doing a piss poor job at that. If you don't believe that, step back, take a look around (not at the people) but the world as a whole and how it is reacting to people. We are having quite a bit of a changes in the weather and global shifting, animals that normally shun human contact moving back to the areas where we have set up house. God or Nature is trying to inform us to that we need to change the way we treat our home world and how we co-exist with the other living species.
We make the claim of being the superior intelligence on this planet. We have the ability to think, our minds are the most valuable commodity to this world we call home. So when do we start using them? After it's to late, sorry I'm not going to fly with that thought.
People in general understand the concept of everything in moderation, we consistently prove to ourselves not to practice the idea. We have in some way corrupted everything we've touched. Since the beginning of time people have made leaps and bounds to get us to where we are today. Yet, at what price?
We have pretty much abused or in the process of abusing our own existence.
As people have progressed we have forgotten as caretakers we have an obligation to protect this world from it's own worst enemy (people in general). Our world is not disposable and we need to quit throwing it away.
We have discovered that if one species is forced into extinction, it has a domino effect that tumbles through and affects every species life. And yet we continue the practice of negligent extinction whether we want to see it or not. So that being the case every living thing is essentially intertwined with each other and it doesn't matter one bit if it's right next to you or on the other side of the world.
I personally don't care whether people claim to believe in God and creation, or in natural evolution, primarily because no matter how we got here I believe we each and every species (plants and animals) rely on the other to continue living. A give and take symbiotic concept. In order to take something from this world we must be able to give something back so that all species can benefit. We have cosmetically and physically altered our world with no real regard to other species we share this world with.
The continued destruction of forest which house thousands of life forms, we are wasting the valuable resources that eventually can't be replaced, unless some changes are made quickly. We Are All Created Equal
The saying we are all created equal, doesn't mean we are the same.
We are equally different in our looks, shapes and sizes, just as we are different in our beliefs and opinions, our desires and needs, and the way we react to the products we consume.
Some people can eat constantly and never gain any weight, while others can at times it seems smell food cooking and gain 5 lbs.
Some are allergic to peanuts to the extent that it could kill them, and some people can eat them all day.
There are people who are allergic to penicillin, while others are not.
We have people who can drink alcohol and handle it quite well, and yet it's pretty apparent that some not only can't handle it but they don't have the common sense to quit.
This is also true with medicines. As you watch tv pay attention to the advertisements for medications, they all state that this product may not be right for you, or you see the legal ads where you can get compensation for you or your loved one who has suffered or died from taking medications (that were approved as reasonably safe for human consumption).
Just because we have the ability to manufacture these products of convenience doesn't mean it's the right choice for everyone, nor does it give any one person or group of people the right to impose on or intimidate someone to accept them as the only choice.
